The Year of Illumination

Walking in Faith, Serving by Grace

Dear Ned Branch Family, extended family, and friends,

The year 2018 was a tremendous year. By means of the grace of God we were able to achieve exploits that were never accomplished before in our
ministry in as much as the conception of its existence! God has demonstrated beyond any doubt that His Mighty Hand is upon church.
Though we have accomplished feats beyond our projected goals and beyond our comprehension, let us not lose sight of our mission— “Making disciples”
(St. Matthew 28:19-20).

Going forward, let us conscientiously focus on perfecting and maturing our ministry. This can happen by purposely directing our hearts to seek the
Lord. This formidable community is depending on us to make this area a better place to live. I believe that in the upcoming year God is going to illuminate
our “Spiritual Eyes” for the purpose of allowing us to walk in places spiritually that we have not occupied in previous years. Please remember the following:

  1. First Sunday (Jan. 5) in January is called “Epiphany Sunday” Light or Illumination.
  2. Every Wednesday from (Jan-Mar) the church will corporately fast from 6am-12noon.
  3. March 6 begins “Lent” 40 days of fasting.
  4. Sunday April 14 thru Saturday April 20 is “Holy Week” Week leading up to Easter.
  5. Sunday April 21 is “Easter” Commemorating the Resurrection of Jesus from the grave.

In order for us to progress without regressing, let us give our utmost energetic efforts to fasting, praying, and consecrating ourselves to the Lord.
Furthermore, by uniquely focusing on these five events, they can become the catalyst that helps direct us toward our foreordained purpose in God. Please
continue to grind and trust that it is “God which work in us both to will and to do of His good pleasures” (Philippians 2:13), and not we ourselves that are
doing the work!

In my conclusion, let me thank you again for your support, allowing me to teach/preach to you, and to lead you. In my humblest opinion, however,
I have learned more from you than I have taught you! You all are amazing! Looking onward to another astonishing year in the Lord!
